The Problem

Caring Hearts Heritage Initiative [CHHI]

The Problem

Despite progress in recent years, underprivileged children and their immmediate families in Nigeria continue to face significant challenges. According to UNICEF, Nigeria has the highest number of out-of-school children in the world, with over 10 million children not enrolled in primary school. This is caused by factors such as poverty, inequality, and social exclusion, which can have long-lasting effects on children’s health, well-being, and future prospects.

The COVID-19 pandemic has further worsened these challenges in Nigeria, with UNICEF estimating that up to 6.8 million additional children fell into poverty as a result of the pandemic. The pandemic also disrupted education, with schools closed for several months and the digital divide hindering access to online learning opportunities.

At CHHI, we recognize the urgent need to address these challenges and create a brighter future for underprivileged children and their immediate families in Nigeria. Through our programs and initiatives, we aim to provide access to education, counseling, and basic needs, while also empowering children and their immediate families to realize their full potential. However, there is still much work to be done, and we must continue to address the underlying factors contributing to these challenges to create lasting change.

CHHI Support program to the needy

Our Solution

At CHHI, we believe in a holistic approach to addressing the challenges faced by underprivileged children and their families in Nigeria. Our programs and initiatives focus on providing access to education, counseling, and basic needs such as food, clothing, and hygiene, while also empowering children and their families through skills training, mentorship, and community engagement.

To improve access to education, we provide scholarships and school supplies to underprivileged children in Nigeria. We also partner with schools and local organizations to provide tutoring, mentorship, and other support services to help children succeed academically.

To address mental health challenges, we provide counselling services to children and their families, helping them build resilience, cope with stress and trauma, and improve their overall well-being.

To address basic needs, we provide food, clothing, and hygiene kits to families in need, while also advocating for policies and programs that address poverty and inequality in Nigeria.

Through these initiatives, we aim to create a brighter future for underprivileged children and their families in Nigeria, one that is characterized by access to quality education, basic needs, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Monthly Food Provision

CHHI provides food provisions to parents of families in need to ensure that the children have access to nutritious food.

This act of kindness ensures that children have access to nutritious food, which is essential for their healthy growth and development. Malnutrition is a severe issue that can affect children’s physical and cognitive development, leading to stunted growth and developmental delays. By providing food provisions, CHHI is helping to reduce malnutrition in the community and improve the overall health and well-being of children.

When children have access to nutritious food, they can better focus on their studies and perform better in school. This can lead to improved educational outcomes, better employment opportunities, and a brighter future.

In addition to the immediate benefits of providing food provisions, CHHI’s efforts can have long-lasting effects on the community and family. The families are more open to counselling and guidance, and when children grow up healthy and well-nourished, they are more likely to be productive members of society, contributing to the growth and development of their communities.

CHHI’s work is essential in ensuring that children have access to nutritious food and can reach their full potential. By reducing malnutrition and improving children’s health and well-being, CHHI is making a significant difference in the lives of families in need.
